There’s always something happening in Le Grand-Bornand, where events and activities are organised throughout the year. You’ll find a wide range of shops, bars, and restaurants as well as a weekly market offering local cheeses, meats and jams.
With activities including hiking, tennis, golf, horse riding, canyoning and climbing, the area attracts sports and nature lovers all year round.
Le Grand-Bornand has been awarded the Famille Plus label for its programme of activities and facilities for children, making it a great choice for a family holiday. And after an active day in the mountains, you can unwind in the private sauna, pool and hot tub at Chalet Hayoka.
About the property…
Chalet Hayoka is a beautifully decorated chalet for up to 14 guests (maximum 10 adults), with five bedrooms and four bathrooms.
You’ll enter through the ski room, which has heated boot dryers and plenty of room for outdoor clothing. This floor also has a stunning, glass-sided indoor pool with mountain views and direct access to the garden – a lovely place to round off an active day. There’s also a WC and a laundry room with a washer and dryer.
This floor is also home to a family suite. The bedroom has a double bed, bunk beds for two children and a desk. The en-suite bathroom has a bath and a shower.
The main floor is dedicated to a magnificent, open-plan living area. In the spacious lounge benches and sofas are arranged around a central fireplace, and there’s a separate seating area with leather furniture and a cosy atmosphere. The wood-finished kitchen has a breakfast bar and everything you need to cater for your group, and the dining table comfortably seats up to 12 guests.
Doors open from this area onto a large terrace with a dining table for outdoor meals, several smaller tables, a sofa with a coffee table, and steps up to the superb hot tub where you can relax and enjoy the breathtaking views. There’s also a spacious sauna on this floor.
There are four more bedrooms on the top floor of Chalet Hayoka. The first is a master suite with a desk, walk-in wardrobe, a toilet, and a bathroom with a shower and bath. The second bedroom has two double beds and a charming mezzanine play area with a floor mattress and a TV.
The two remaining double bedrooms each feature a desk and access to a shared balcony. One has its own shower room, while a large shared bathroom with shower, bathtub, double sinks, and toilet serves the other.
Chalet Hayoka also offers three covered parking spaces in an underground garage, equipped with electric car charging stations.
About the area…
Le Grand-Bornand is an authentic resort in the heart of the Aravis mountains, just 40 minutes from Annecy. Its traditional village centre, historic hamlets and modern facilities attract active families and nature lovers all year round, eager to enjoy the mountain activities. Le Grand-Bornand has been awarded the “Famille Plus” label for its program of activities and facilities dedicated to children.
In winter, the ski area offers 90km of slopes for all levels, served by 24 ski lifts. The resort also has a snow park, three beginner zones, and five marked ski touring routes. You’ll also find two ice rinks, one in Le Grand-Bornand and another in nearby La Clusaz.
During the rest of the year, the area’s many trails invite you to explore on foot or by bike, and you can enjoy activities such as paragliding, canyoning, climbing, and rafting. The central floor is the heart of the chalet. The spacious living area is divided into two seating areas around a fireplace while a second, more intimate sitting room provides the perfect spot for reading or sharing an aperitif.

A large furnished terrace extends the living area outdoors. With a generous dining table, outdoor sofa, and hot tub facing the peaks, everything invites you to relax and unwind.
